Microsoft has acquired 6Wunderkinder

Wunderlist app

You heard that right, 6Wunderkinder has just been acquired by Microsoft. According to an anonymous source, the acquisition amount sits between 100 to 200 million dollars.

What is 6Wunderkinder?

6Wunderkinder is a startup founded in 2010 in Berlin, Germany. Their first app, Wunderlist, was released in 2011 and has 10 million users worldwide. Wunderlist is great for small teams that need to assign and keep track of daily and weekly tasks. The app is also available on Google Chrome, iOS, Android and more.

Why Wunderlist?

Microsoft seems to be investing more into mobile-friendly, cloud based applications. Wunderlist will mostly likely be included in Microsoft’s productivity bundle of software. Will support cease to exist for Android and iOS users? Very unlikely, after all, Skype was acquired by Microsoft and it’s still around. The app in action:
