Share Your Posts on Social Media Sites!

Did you ever want to write or publish a post and have it automatically shared on social media sites? Posting articles to social media sites has become more important as time goes on. Thankfully, there are a couple of WordPress plugins that have this functionality. Let’s a look at some of the most popular and well respected plugins.

Jetpack – Publicize

Jetpack by Automattic is a plugin that has the Publicize module. With Publicize, every WordPress article that you post will be automatically shared to various social media sites. You can choose which sites to share to by activating the Publicize module. You can find this module by clicking Jetpack and then Settings in your admin toolbar.

Just click on ‘Add New’ to the site that you would like to connect your posts with. From now on, whenever you post, it should be shared on the social media site(s) that you have chosen.

If you would like to learn more about this plugin, you can take a look at the guide here. You should note that some social networks require the an API Library. For example, Google+ will need the Google Plus Automated Posting library in order for it to work.

WP To Twitter

WP to Twitter is a plugin written by Joe Dolson. With this plugin activated and your WordPress blog connected, every post will be sent to Twitter. you will need to go through some steps to connect your Twitter account to your WordPress account.

Google+ Auto Post

Google+ is one of the toughest social media networks to post to. This is due to the fact that Google+ ‘s API is read-only (at this time in writing). Some plugins try to find a workaround; Google+ Auto Post, by Edward R. Jenkins, can be used for that reason. His website can be found here.
